Amazing 12” from New Zealand’s Son.sine. Released way back in 2000, this is now nigh on impossible to find. And if you do, be prepared to spend.

All 3 tracks are superb, with “Karuna” & “Upekah” being the stand-outs.

Deep, minimal, dubby techno. So good. So, so good.

Some ace jazz-funk-disco vibes from Pierre Dalmon; with the dude from Arpadys on drums.

Big up to da man dems Danny Drive Thru! Here’s a biggie set for release real soon on Manchester’s Mind On Fire Records. I’ve known Danny for a long time, we’ve been friends, flatmates, and thrown a christmas tree out of our flat. 

People like Kutmah and Thom Yorke are already on to him (playing the track he’s probably currently most known for - Virtua Ante Up) on the Stones Throw Podcast, and at Low End Theory respectively.

I was banging on about this mix the other week. Anyway, I just stumbled across it on Soundcloud and thought I’d share it. One of my favourite Moonboots mixes over the years; jam packed with top notch mellow house music. Enjoy.

It’s Sunday, the sun has got his hat on, and I don’t have a hangover.

Rarer than hens teeth, this 12” is more sought after for the Jazztronik remix on the flip. For me though, it’s Scuba which is pushing my sunshine Sunday buttons…

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, you may not know that the Grecian Balearic outfit Keep Shelly in Athens are pretty big news. You may also not know that their Dusk 12” from last year sold out in approx’ 8 seconds, or something to that effect. Bragging rights for me then, as I just about managed to snaffle one up; and lovely it is too, both aurally and aesthetically.

Anyway, according to my sources (the interweb), they have a brand spanking new EP coming out in a month or so. Limited to 500, and out on Forest Family Records, I suggest you get your pre-order in now, or live to regret it later when it appears on t’bay for silly money.

In a way this reminds me of the classic Irfane - Just a Lil’ Lovin’.

This is great; that piano hook that builds and builds… this is just full of YES.
