Son.sine - Karuna

Amazing 12” from New Zealand’s Son.sine. Released way back in 2000, this is now nigh on impossible to find. And if you do, be prepared to spend.

All 3 tracks are superb, with “Karuna” & “Upekah” being the stand-outs.

Deep, minimal, dubby techno. So good. So, so good.

BIG Ferox Records track from 1999. First heard this many moons ago on Soundcolors 4 (mixed, funnily enough, by Moonboots), and just had to hunt down a copy on 12”. Ferox are probably better known for their big hitters, like Russ Gabriel (label owner) and Ian O’Brien, but for me, the best Ferox release I own, is this one right here.

Balearic Techno? This is probably as close as it gets.
