    Of relevance to anyone who still buys music in it’s physical format… New ace 7” leather record boxes by TukTuk; available in 5 different colours ash blue, black, brown, red and yellow, with individual fabric lining for each leather colour. Being as indecisive as ever, I’ve gone and treated myself to two. Theses are retailing for 55 quid and available from TukTuk now, and Juno Records as of next week. Plug over.

    Following on from what Kev was saying about Manchester, I’ve not been to any other place in the world that can rock basements like Manchester based DJs/clubs/nights. If you disagree with this, then let us know. I’d love to test your suggestion!

    This track from El Diablo’s Social Club organiser/DJ Neil Diablo, sums up the ethos and gives me shivers. You’re in a basement, in the groove, a deep track like this is playing, then about 4.40 mins in - BOOM, it’s on.

    Do yourself a favour and buy this and only listen to it only while bathed in red light.
