Danny Drive Thru - Violence Makes (Naive Machine Remix)
[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.] 1,419 plays

Big up to da man dems Danny Drive Thru! Here’s a biggie set for release real soon on Manchester’s Mind On Fire Records. I’ve known Danny for a long time, we’ve been friends, flatmates, and thrown a christmas tree out of our flat

People like Kutmah and Thom Yorke are already on to him (playing the track he’s probably currently most known for - Virtua Ante Up) on the Stones Throw Podcast, and at Low End Theory respectively.

Well proud of him. If you’re around Manchester this Friday, pop along to The Soup Kitchen for the release party at the Soup Kitchen and give his cheek an auntie-type squeeze from me!

    Pieter.

Rewards - Equal Dreams (ft. Solange Knowles)
[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.] 40 plays

Beyonce Knowles Alt. little sister Solange Knowles has collaborated with Chairlift’s Aaron Pfenning on a forthcoming DFA release.

I like DFA and I also like Solange Knowles. I like this. That bit where her vocal creeps in then explodes… Nicely done.

What do you think? Will it become a crossover hit? Is it too low-key for mainstream success? Could she become as relevant as her sister? Are these too many superficial questions? Should I stop reading Hipster Runoff?
